I was recently collared by a family member, to check out a website to use for online purchases. The idea was to use online shopping to support someone in our family. Sounded like a great idea. We all have to buy things to live - why not buy from someone in the family?

Problem was, the program was a scam. The webpage looked like one of those placeholder sites, and the selection of goods and services was not too interesting. When you clicked on a link, the landing page was full of stuff having little to do with what you were looking for. On top of that, if you actually purchased something, you got absolutely inundated with spam, and the guy taking the heat got only a few pennies for the trouble.

I couldn't stand it. This guy was out of work, just looking for a way to do better, and I figured I could hunt down something better for him. I'm a pretty good bloodhound, given a worthy mission.

I wanted to find a program that was honest, that could be started without much money, that had an element of training to it, and didn't require website building experience to start.

Initially, I had no interest in online marketing for myself, but what I found for this loved one far exceeded my parameters. I found a supportive community of online entrepreneurs, networking with each other, helping each other be successful - built around solid, step-by-step training, with an arsenal of effective business tools thrown in, for good measure.

Now, I regularly network with folks who started with no website experience, no money for advertising, who are earning more in a week than many in this country make in a month.

I am amazed.
